Israeli cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies has announced it will acquire threat intelligence firm Cyberint, its third startup acquisition in approximately a year.Â

Cyberint specializes in threat intelligence and attack surface management products, as well as a services team that provides cybersecurity analysis and threat assessments for its enterprise customers. Check Point said in a press release that it will fold Cyberint into its “Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities and expand its managed threat intelligence offerings.”

The terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed, but various reports in Israeli tech news outlets place the deal’s value around $200 million. The deal would signal a significant return for Cyberint’s investors: to date, the company has raised $65 million in venture capital. Previous investors include Israeli venture firms Viola Growth and StageOne Ventures, as well as Italian venture firm Neva SGR.Â

The acquisition marks Check Point’s third such deal in the past year. In August 2023, the company acquired Perimeter 81, a cloud and network security firm, for $490 million. In September 2023, Check Point acquired Atmosec, an early-stage startup that helped companies secure their SaaS ecosystem.

Check Point said it expects to close the acquisition by the end of 2024.Â
